To prevent the reduction of circulating airflow due to shortcut of cooling wind in a food freezing chamber for freezing food by circulating cold air in a food storage by way of a fan.
The food freezing chamber comprises a cool air outlet 8 and a cool air inlet 9 connected to a cold air generating unit 5 adjacent to the food storage 1 by way of ducts 6 and 7 and arranged on the ceiling and the central portion of the floor of a food storage 1, respectively, wherein the cold air outlet 8 has a plurality of openings 8a for spouting cold air in spirals toward the circumference thereof and the cold air inlet 9 has a plurality of openings 9a for taking in cold air spiraling therefrom. Cold wind spouted from the openings 8a flows toward the circumference thereof, impinges upon the side walls of the food storage 1 to turn and spirals down around the cold air outlet 8 to be taken into the openings 9a. Such a spiraling flow of cooling wind circulates in the food storage 1 without taking a shortcut, so that it can freeze food with uniform airflow/flow-rate.
