Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a food freshness sustainer containing Japanese horseradish oil as antibacterial ingredient, so designed that the amount of the antibacterial ingredient to be used can be regulated easily, and safety is improved even in case of being taken by accident, thereby ensuring it to be used safely and conveniently in general households.

CONSTITUTION: Grains harmless even if taken such as popcorn or roasted expanded rice is served as a carrier 2 for this food freshness sustainer. An antibacterial agent 3 with Japanese horseradish oil as the antibacterial ingredient is applied onto the outer surface of each carrier 2 to obtain this food freshness sustainer 1. Thus, the average pickup of the antibacterial agent 3 per carrier 2 can be made minute, facilitating the regulation of the amount of the antibacterial agent 3 to be used; along with this, humans are protected from adverse health effects even in case this food freshness sustainer 1 is taken.
