PURPOSE: To provide superior decoration to food without using a coloring matter nor impairing the taste and safety of the food by forming interference fringes of hologram on the surface of the food as minute relief pattern.

CONSTITUTION: At first, an embossed hologram is formed on an optional substrate sheet 1. Then, minute relief pattern 4 on the hologram sheet 10 having hologram formed thereon is allowed to contact with the surface of solid food 20 to transfer the fine relief pattern 4 to the surface of the solid food 20. Thus, a kind of food 20 patterned with hologram is obtd. By this constitution, superior decoration is provided to food without impairing the taste, delicacy, and safety of the food.
