A data carrier 40 capable of recording/reading information on a supplying time is fixed to a plate 9. A questioning device 70 is provided at one position on a carrying round path. At the time of carrying round a plate 9 mounting Sushi on the carrying round path, the plate 9 is supplied onto the carrying round part 7 after writing information on a supplying time to the data carrier by means of an ID register 60. Then whenever the plate 9 makes around on the path 7, the device 70 obtains supplying time information from the data carrier 40. A sorting controller 73 calculates the staying time of food from the supplying time information and judges its freshness. A plate 9 judged to mount the food of deteriorated freshness as the result of this judgement is selected from the carrying round path by a sorting device 80.
