PURPOSE: To align foods in single file by disposing like a dogleg a belt apparatus for guiding the foods in a fixed oblique direction pointing to the downstream on the conveyer surface.
CONSTITUTION: A lot of foods P, P... placed on a conveyer 1 and transported thereby are damed up by a belt 4 of a belt apparatus B. Since the belt 4 travels obliquely pointing to the downstream, the foods are sequentially moved toward the downstream end. When the foods are separated from the downstream end and moved again, the foods are aligned almost in single file and reaches a belt apparatus A as they are. The running speed of the belt apparatus A is lower than that of the belt apparatus B, so as to adjust inequality of intervals among the foods which has reached the belt apparatus A. Thus, the foods are aligned at equal spaces substantially in a straight line, and the foods P, P... which have separated from the downstream end of the belt apparatus A are moved in single file.
