The food storage 1 includes a storage compartment 20, a refrigerator R, a heater 31, ultraviolet lamps 33 and 34, and a control device C having a timer function. The control device C sequentially executes a sterilization step within the storage compartment 20 by the ultraviolet lamps 33 and 34, a refrigerating step of controlling the temperature/humidity by the refrigerator R and the heater 31, and a temperature increasing step of increasing the temperature within the storage compartment 20 to a normal temperature by the heater 31 based on a preset time schedule toward the hour to ship the food from the storage compartment 20.
