To provide a food storage suppressing an operating ratio of an electrostatic atomizer and an air blowing means and preserving food fresh over a long time.
The food storage includes: the electrostatic atomizer 1 provided within the storage for storing food and generating charged microparticle water by electrostatic atomization; the air blowing means 2 circulating air within the storage and diffusing the generated charged microparticle water within the storage; and a control means 3 controlling the operation of the electrostatic atomizer 1 and the air blowing means 2. The control means 3 performs intermittent operation for repeating operation and stop of each of the electrostatic atomizer 1 and the air blowing means 2. In the intermittent operation, stop time of one cycle of the intermittent operation of the electrostatic atomizer 1 is set longer than that of one cycle of the intermittent operation of the air blowing means 2, and operation time of one cycle of the intermittent operation of the electrostatic atomizer 1 is set shorter than that of one cycle of the intermittent operation of the air blowing means 2. During one cycle of the intermittent operation of the electrostatic atomizer 1, at least two cycles of the intermittent operation of the air blowing means 2 are performed.
