Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the separation accuracy of the non-edible portion and the recovery of the edible portion and to use the recovered edible portion as feed. SOLUTION: Waste food is separated into the non-edible portion and the edible portion by being agitated/disintegrated/crushed in water in a crushing/ separating machine 121, and a granular edible portion which passed through a screen 1213 is supplied with treatment water to a cyclone 122 and segregated into a granular solid portion and foreign materials lighter than the solid portion by using centrifugal force generated in the cyclone 122. The granular foreign materials segregated in the cyclone 122 and the non-edible portion from the machine 121 are washed with water by the first drum screen 123, and adherent food components are removed and recovered. Water contained in the granular solids segregated by the cyclone 122 is separated by the second drum screen 124, only the separated granular solids are ground by a grinder 141, and the edible portion is separated by a fine screen 142 to be slurry feed.
