To eliminate the time and effort when injecting a significant quantity of water into a footbath or discharging the water after use, to prevent the stain caused by the dropping of water to a floor, and the like, and to solve problems wherein unevenness of temperature is locally generated because steam is not evenly applied to soles and wherein the temperature inside a bathtub easily declines after the stop of steam supply.
The subject footbath device has a foot-bathtub 2 mounted inside a body 1 for footbath and a lid 3 divided into front and rear sections on the body 1 for holding feet in-between. A plurality of ceramics 4 with characteristics of radiating a certain quantity of far-infrared rays by heating are disposed inside the foot-bathtub 2, and a partition board 7 with a number of holes and a steam generator 8 are disposed under the ceramics 4. Footbathing is possible by heating the ceramics 4 and the interior of the foot-bathtub 2 with steam generated in the steam generator 8 to penetrate through the partition board 7 and the ceramics 4, and humidifying the interior of the foot-bathtub 2.
