PURPOSE: To provide a footcloth that has higher permeability and higher nonslip capability and that does not soil a floor on which the footcloth is laid.

CONSTITUTION: The footcloth is made from an emulsion polymerization of a monomer mixture containing an acrylic ester monomer containing alkyl group (A) with the number of carbon 4 to 8 which is 60% to 90% of the weight and one or more monomers (B) selected from the group of styrene and methyl methacrylate that are 10% to 35% of the weight. A resulting acrylic emulsion 6 is applied to a back 2 of a footcloth 1 so that 10g to 50g of the solid material of the emulsion is applied per m2, and dried.
