To provide a footrest allowing the height of the footrest for a driver to be adjusted with a small number of parts in a simple configuration without the need of power supply such as electric power and hydraulic pressure.

The footrest for the driver includes: a fixation base 50a vertically arranged on a floor surface 200 of a driver's seat; a top plate 30a fixed on the fixation base 50a in a horizontal posture; a step surface pedal plate 10a fixed on the top of the fixation base 50a in a manner to slope down toward a chair; and a step surface plate 40a for the height adjustment. Distal ends of support members 42a, 42a fixed on an edge of a side of the step surface plate 40a for the height adjustment are installed movably around the shaft 28 that is supported by bearings 32, 32 provided on the upper surface of the top plate 30a. The height of the footrest for the driver is easily adjusted by moving the step surface plate 40a for the height adjustment around the shaft 28 and placing the step surface plate 40a on the upper surface of the step surface pedal plate 10a.
