The footrest for the vehicular occupant is equipped with a receiving member 8 which disposes the footrest 1 on the surface of the floor mat 7, a base 9 supporting the receiving member 8, and a fixing structure 24 as a fixing means for mutually fixing the receiving member 8, the base 9 and the floor mat 7. Since the footrest 1 can be mounted to the floor mat 7 so as to fix with the fixing structure in a state where the floor mat 7 is pinched by the receiving member 8 and the floor mat 7 at the optimal position according to a driver personnel in the footrest 1, the load during driving can be reduced corresponding to each driver.
