To provide a footstep for a passenger conveyor which suppresses manufacturing cost without deteriorating rigidity of a tread surface, and is equipped with a safety indication having higher visibility than the conventional one.
The footstep for the passenger conveyor used for the passenger conveyor which endlessly connect a plurality of footsteps 2 to circulate and move is equipped with a foot step body 21, and a synthetic resin-made caution indication member 22 fixed to the both side edges of the tread of the footstep body 21 and an adjacent footstep side part. The footstep body 21 has a caution display part 21a painted to different color from the caution indication member 22 on an inside part of the caution indication member 22 on the tread.
