Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a copolymer having an excellent hue without causing gelatinization resulting from crosslinking reaction by treating a polyfunctional copolymer containing (substituted) succinic anhydride group with a diamine to introduce formamide group, etc., to the side chain.
CONSTITUTION: A polyfunctional copolymer containing (substituted) succinic anhydride group as a functional group is treated with a diamine, polymer modifying reaction is carried out, formamide group or formamide group and a primary amino group are introduced into the side chain to give a copolymer containing (A) 20-99.8mol% repeating unit shown by formula I (R1 and R2 are H, 1-10C alkyl, etc.), (B) 50-0mol% repeating unit shown by formula II (R3 and R4 are H, 1-4C alkyl, etc.) and (C) 30-0.2mol% total amounts of (i) repeating units shown by formula III to formula V (R6, R7 and R12 are H, 1-10C alkyl, etc.; R8 is single bond, methylene, etc.; R9 and R10 are H, 1-6C alkyl, etc.; R11 is 1-12C alkylene; X1 and X2 are NH2 or NH-CHO) in the molecule or a salt thereof.
