PURPOSE: To provide a force detection apparatus by which a force can be detected precisely irrespective of a change in an ambient temperature and whose responsivity is excellent.
CONSTITUTION: A force detection apparatus is provided with a fixation stand 11, with an elastic plate 12 a part of which is fixed to the fixation stand and with a detection circuit 14 a part of which is connected to the elastic plate. The detection circuit 14 detects a change in the resistance value of a strain-gage resistance element R11 which is fixed and bonded to the surface of the elastic plate 12 and whose resistance value is changed by a strain. The elastic plate 12 is composed of a metal material, for vibration-damping, whose mechanical quality factor is low. The detection circuit 14 is composed of a bridge circuit provided with the strain-gage resistance element R11 which is fixed and bonded to the surface of the elastic plate 12 and whose resistance value is changed by a strain and with three resistance elements R12, R13, R14 connected to the strain-gage resistance element so as to detect a change in resistance values of the strain-gage resistance elements R12, R13, R14 as a change in voltages. At least one out of the resistance elements R12, R13, R14 is formed on the surface of the elastic plate 12 by means of the same material as the strain-gage resistance element R11.
