Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a highly accurate force detector reduced in the change of the oscillation energy of an oscillation circuit due to temp., by connecting a condenser, which is formed to a part where a thin drive electrode is formed from a piezoelectric material, to an energy confining type both-way longitudinal vibrator in series. CONSTITUTION:One end part of an energy confining type both-way longitudinal vibrator 1 is fixed to a support stand 6 and load is applied to the other end part thereof through a pressure point 7. The load of an object to be measured is transmitted to a load receiving metal fitting 9 and added to the pressure point 7 through a protective leaf spring 10. When force is applied to the vibrator 1 through the pressure point 7, compression stress is generated in the vibrator 1 and the resonance frequency of the vibrator 1 changes. The magnitude of the applied force is calculated from the change quantity of the oscillation frequency of an automatic oscillation circuit accompanied by the change of the resonance frequency of the vibrator 1. A condenser is formed to one end part of the vibrator 1 by electrodes 11, 11' and connected to the vibrator 1 electrically in series.
