Abstract:
PURPOSE:To aim at keeping off any delay in valve action in time of high engine speed, by driving a tappet valve by means of a frame enclosing a cam, in case of a tapped valve system for an internal-combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A valve F is driven by a cam B via a tappet H. A frame G is installed in this tappet H. The cam B rotates clockwise and pushes the frame G upward, closing the valve F. In addition, when the cam B rotates clockwise further, the tappet H is pressed downward, opening the valve F. Thus, the valve is closed without depending upon only the force of the spring so that there is no delay in time of high engine speed.
