Title:
FORCIBLE DISCHARGER FOR BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05146085
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize forcible discharge without removing a battery from the body in order to eliminate memory effect of battery.

CONSTITUTION: The forcible discharger for battery comprises a switch 3 for performing ON/OFF control of the discharge path of a battery 1, a discharge control section 7 for controlling the switch 3, a voltage detecting section 6 for detecting the voltage of the battery 1 and delivering a signal to the discharge control section 7, and a discharge resistor 11 to be connected through a connector 5 with the outside of the discharge path body upon occurrence of memory effect. Upon occurrence of memory effect of the battery 1, the switch 3 is subjected to ON/OFF control based on an external load connection detection signal 9 and an output signal 10 from the voltage detecting section 6 or a discharge control signal 12 thus realizing forcible discharge without removing the battery from the body.
