Abstract:
PURPOSE:To satisfactorily lubricate a part of a crank pin with lubricating oil from a lubricating oil jet without any inconvenience to costs and assemblage by affording communication between a lubricating oil suction pipe and the lower end of a vertical oil path provided in a side lid for closing the side of a cylinder block. CONSTITUTION:A side lid 5 attached to the front face of a cylinder block 6 is provided with a vertical oil path 17 bored obliquely from below. A lubricating oil suction pipe 7 is mounted to the proximity of the lower end of the vertical oil path 17 and disposed in lubricating oil lower than the lubricating oil level in the cylinder block 6 to suck the lubricating oil. The lubricating oil sucked from the lubricating oil suction pipe 7 is sucked from a suction port 8 into the vertical oil path 17, and after it is sucked between gears of a trochoid pump from a suction oil path 18 of a lubricating oil pump P, it is pressurized between the trochoid gears and discharged to a discharge oil path 12. A lubricating oil jet 15 is opened to the tip of the drain oil path 12 and the direction of the lubricating oil jet 15 is regulated to a position to which a crank pin 1a is rotated.
