Title:
FOREIGN MATERIAL PROCESSOR FOR BILL RECEIVING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01230190
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily and surely detect a foreign material when it is attached on a bill by detecting the impedance change of a detecting coil means and judging the existence of the foreign material based on the output.

CONSTITUTION: When a metallic foreign material or the foreign material having magnetism comes into a generated magnetic field by a detecting coil 12, an eddy current by an electromagnetic induction action is generated inside the foreign material, and the eddy current generates the magnetic field in a direction to cancel the magnetic field by the detecting coil 12. Thus, as the foreign material approaches the detecting coil, the impedance of the detecting coil 12 increases gradually and reduces the oscillation amplitude of an oscillating circuit 14, and when the oscillation amplitude is lowered under a fixed level, a monostable flip flop circuit 16 is activated and a foreign material detecting signal is outputted from an output circuit 17 to a control signal output means 19. Then, a driving inhibiting signal and an alarm signal are outputted. Thus, a foreign material A can be detected easily and surely, and the paper jamming and the breakage of a feeding mechanism can be surely prevented.
