Abstract:
To provide a foreign matter removal type steel sheet transferring roll which can effectively remove foreign matter such as oxidized scale, dust, powder, oil, cleaning liquid and contaminant adhering to a surface of a hot or cold rolled steel sheet or scattered from a periphery thereof, and can substitute for a steel sheet transferring roll such as a bridle roll and a deflector roll.SOLUTION: A foreign matter removal type steel sheet transferring roll 100 of the present invention comprises: a suction hollow body to which a dust collecting line is connected; and a suction roll 130 provided rotatably on the suction hollow body so as to transfer a steel sheet in a contact manner, and having a plurality of elongated suction holes 120 for sucking foreign matter, where the elongated suction holes 120 may comprise at least one of: a set width and length; a rounded side formed at both ends; and chamfered surfaces formed on the surface side of the roll.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
