Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fork stem in order to form a front wheel system which can stand against the impact and the load by various external forces, has a light weight, and has an excellent vibration damping property.
CONSTITUTION: While a fork stem 1 combined to a handle stem 2, and connected to the support shaft 3a of a front fork 3 is made of a fiber reinforced resin, the flexural rigidity distribution of the fork stem 1 is set in the form almost same as the distribution of the bending moment when a load is applied to the fork stem 1.
