Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form rolling tool with which the occurrence of a form rolling defect (roll over) at the form rolling end part of a material to be form rolled is prevented and a tooth form is accurately form rolled on the material to be form rolled, and a manufacturing method for the form rolling tool.
SOLUTION: The working tooth 2 of the form rolling tool 1 is formed in a circular arcuate shape to be projected toward the outside (the upper side of figure 1). As a result, both left and right end parts of the tip line 2a and root line 2b of the working tooth 2 are formed by being respectively moved back by the almost same retraction amounts La and Lb to the opposite side of a gnawing direction to the material to be form rolled. In such a manner, in the form rolling tool 1, since both end parts in the tooth width direction of the working tooth 2 are formed by being moved back to the opposite side of the gnawing direction to the material to be form rolled, a gnawing amount (rolling reduction) to the material to be form rolled is made appropriate at each position in the tooth width direction. Thus, the form rolling defect (roll over) to be caused at the form rolling end part of the material to be form rolled is prevented and the tooth form is accurately form rolled to the material to be form rolled.
