PURPOSE: To feed a form at a high speed by reducing a distance up to a print position by stopping a pulse motor when the count value of the number of driving pulses reaches a certain count number and then by driving the pulse motor as much as the number of clock pulses.
CONSTITUTION: As a form is sucked, form detection part 2, on detecting the leading edge of the form, puts N-counting circuit 16 into operation to count clocks and when the count value reaches N, FF12 is reset to stop the oscillation of variable oscillator 13. Pulse motor control circuit 14 is supplied with clocks as many as the number of clocks N counted by N-counting circuit 16 and pulse motor 5 is driven to make the form approach driving roller 4. Thus, a distance up to the printer is reduced and high-speed feed control is enabled.
