Title:
FORM TAPE CONTAINING PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE HAVING IMPROVED ADHESIVE PROPERTY TO ACID RAIN-RESISTANT AUTOMOTIVE PAINT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3481888
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject tape having excellent adhesive properties to acidic surfaces by bringing the tape to contain a core layer, a specific pressure sensitive adhesive and a specific crosslinking agent in specific proportions.
SOLUTION: This form tape contains (A) a core layer, ≤100 pts.wt. of a pressure sensitive adhesive containing a crosslinked copolymer obtained from monomers (i)-(iii), about 60-90 pts.wt. of (i) a monomer comprising a monofunctional unsaturated (meth)acrylate ester of a non-tertiary alkyl (a 4-12C alkyl) alcohol, and having ≤ about -20°C glass transition temperature as a homopolymer thereof, approximately 40-10 pts.wt. of (ii) a basic copolymerizable monomer expressed by formula I [(a) is 0-1; (b) is 1; R is H or CH3; X is O or NH; Y is a divalent bond; Z is a non-sterically hindered group expressed by formula II (R1 and R2 are each alkyl)] and about 0-3 pts.wt. of (iii) an acidic monomer copolymerizable with the monomer (i) and the monomer (ii) and (B) a free radical polymerizable crosslinking agent of about 0.051-1 wt.% based on the sum weight of the monomers (i)-(iii).
