Title:
FORMABLE, HEAT-STABILIZABLE TEXTILE PILE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08260303
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a pile material consisting essentially of a specific multifilament hybrid yarn, and usable for a textile backing capable of suiting a three-dimensional surface having a complicated shape, such as a sheet for a seat, without causing wrinkle.

This pile material for providing a textile backing by knitting or weaving bound-in loop-forming pile yarns comprises ≥60 wt.% multifilament hybrid yarn. The multifilament hybrid yarn is constituted of at least two kinds of filaments A, B.... The filament A has imparted texturing properties and ≥180°C melting point, and the filament B has <220°C melting point and ≥20°C lower than that of the filament A. The weight ratio of the filaments A to B in the hybrid yarn is (20:80)-(80:20), and the hybrid yarn can include ≤40 wt.% assistant filament C.
