PURPOSE: To smoothen a forming work by sucking and removing water drips stayed in the recessed part of an upper and a lower dies by condensing the dew, at the time of forming by press at a low temp.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of forming a blank W cooled with cooling medium of liquid nitrogen or liquid helium, etc., in the forming die 1, water drainage holes 13 for guiding the water drips stayed and condensed in the recessed part 7 of the lower die 3 to the outer part are arranged to make it flow out to prevent the freezing of the water drips by contacting with the blank W during forming. Further, it is desirable that the water drainage holes 13 are connected with a suction pump 15 to always suck and remove the water drip. Further, the spattering of the water drips to the surrounding can be prevented by recovering the sucked water drips into a tank 17. Then, it is desirable that the suction pump 15 is worked preceeding to the formation of the blank W and continued until the upper die 3 reaches the lower dead center.
