Abstract:
PURPOSE:To represent the smooth motion of a graphic form with a small flicker by displaying plural pieces of graphic information which are slightly different in position and shape on a display screen and leaving >=1 piece of graphic form on the screen all the time. CONSTITUTION:Pieces of graphic information G1, G2, G3,... which are slightly different in position and shape are displayed continuously on the screen of a display device so that (G1, G2,...Gn), (G2, G3,...Gn+1),...(G1, Gi+1,...Gn+i-1),... are each displayed at the same time (n>2). For example, when n=2, G1 is displayed (frame 1) firstly and G2 is displayed while G1 is left (frame 2); and G1 is erased (frame 3) and G3 is displayed (frame 4). Said display is repeated. In this case, the time when G1 is erased (from frame 2 to frame 3) and the time when G3 is drawn (from frame 3 to frame 4) are limited, but the time (frame 3) controlled by a computer is adjusted to reproduce smooth motion on the screen without any break.
