PURPOSE: To provide a ceramic forming method enabling to form porous ceramic by firing, also being wide in a shaping range and forming in various complicated shapes.

CONSTITUTION: Ceramic forming powder, thermoplastic pulp and wood pulp are dispersed into water, the dispersion liquid is flocculated by adding a cationic wet paper strength reinforcing resin and an anionic polymer, and the flocculated dispersion liquid is dehydrated to form a sheet, and this sheet is wet-pressed and dried to produce the ceramic forming paper. The sheets are stacked, pressed or thermoformed, being followed by firing to consolidate the sheets to a ceramic.
