CONSTITUTION: A photographic element contg. a DRR compound represented by fromulaI[where Col is a dye or a dye precursor, Ball is alkylamido, arylacylamido, succinimido or phthalimido, R1 is halogen, 1W3C alkyl or alkoxy, R2 is tertiary butyl, tertiary amyl, phenyl or a group represented by formula II (where each of R3 and R4 is H or alkyl), and m is 0W3]in the photosensitive emulsion layer is brought into contact with a nonviscous alkaline processing soln. having ≤100cps viscosity at 20°C in the presence of a developer for silver halide, and it is dried and superposed on an image receiving element to diffusion-transfer the formed image onto the image receiving element. Thus, the contrast of the dye image can be enhanced.
