Abstract:

To improve the strength at the joining part with an extending part by melting a suitable alloy in a ceramic mold fitted to the end part and executing oriented solidifi cation at the time of forming the extending part to the end part of a gas turbine blade member etc. having oriented micro-structure.

The mandrel 12 suitable to the cross sectional surface and the extending length of a product, is fitted to the outer surface at the end part 4 of the product for forming the extending part and the ceramic mold 16 is formed at the outer surface and at least a part of the end part of the product. At this time, the mandrel 12 is made of an alloy having the suitability to the superalloy composition of the product and made to form a mold cavity having a shape demarcated with the shape of the integral extending part. Thereafter, the mandrel 12 is melted with an induction heating means 13 and further, a part of the joining surface 6 of the product extending part is melted with the molten material 26 and sufficient time is held so that this part acts as crystal seed for growing the micro structure in the extending part. Successively, the molten material is solidified from the extending end part 4 controlling heat condition and cooling speed, and the structure of the extending part is made to be suitable for the product structure.
