Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a transparent coating film smooth to the touch by transforming a substance insoluble in a soln. into superfine particles, dispersing these particles in the soln. as colloidal particles and supplying electric current between an electrode with a porous coating film and another electrode in the soln. CONSTITUTION:A substance insoluble in a soln., e.g. carbon is transformed into superfine particles by electric discharge or other method. These particles are dispersed in the soln. as colloidal particles and electric current is supplied between an electrode with a porous coating film, e.g. anodically oxidized aluminum and another electrode in the soln. to form a hard coating film on the porous coating film.
