Abstract:

To form a hard ornamental film difficult to scratch and capable of exhibiting a color tone in a wide range by using an ion plating technique.

SUS 304, etc., are used as the material 10 for a product, and the surface 10a is coated with the oxide, nitride and carbide of metal such as TiN and CrxNy by ion plating to form a light reflecting hard film 11. TiO2, etc., are then deposited and laminated on the hard film 11 by ion plating to form a transparent film 12.
