To obtain a hollow member having good surface roughness in a punch-out part by forming an intermediate material having a partition wall part which is closed between a tubular part and an inner peripheral hole and forms a lubricating pool part having smaller diameter than the diameter of a through-hole at the end surface in the axial direction of the partition wall part, supplying the lubricator into the lubricating pool part and punching out the partition wall part.
A steel-made wire rod is cut off to form a blank W0. Preliminary holes 2 recessed a little, are formed at both ends of the blank W0 to form a preliminary blank W1. A recessed part 3 extending the preliminary hole 2 is formed to form an one side opening hole material W2. The other side of the preliminary hole 2 is extended to form a recessed part 4, and an annular part 6 and the partition wall part 5 are formed to form both opening hole materials W3. The lubricating pool part 5a of the small diameter recessed part near the center of the partition wall part 5 is formed and at the same time, the partition wall part 5 is bulged to the outer peripheral side and a spherical head part 7 is formed to form the intermediate material W4. The lubricator is supplied into the lubricating pool part 5a. The partition wall part 5 is punched out to form the through-hole 8, and the hollow member W5 is formed.
