Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a high strength lateral hole with a flange part in a few process number and at low cost without cutting a tube member in a method for forming the lateral hole in the tube member.
SOLUTION: An opening part 21 of almost elliptic shape is formed on the circumference face of a stainless tube 20, inside the stainless tube 20, a die body 40 whose upper cross-section shape is made in a similar shape being able to be inserted in the opening part 21, whose lower cross-section shape is formed in an opening shape of required lateral hole and which is provided with the circumference face formed continuously in the smooth curve face like from the upper side to the lower side is received, and the die body 40 is pulled out from the opening part 21 to the outside through pulling shafts 42, 43, etc. The opening periphery of the opening part 21 is pulled up following to raising of the die body 40, an outside projected flange part 22 is formed.
