Title:
FORMATION OF THREE DIMENTIONAL PATTERN TO SURFACE OF SUBSTRATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5670876
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form the three dimentional pattern such as an embossed pattern easily by a method wherein a thick coating paint composition based on a copolymer comprising ethylene and an α,β-ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid (salt) in a predetermined ratio is coated on the surface of the substrate and dried by heating thereon.

CONSTITUTION: Aforementioned paint composition containing a copolymer comprising 50mol% or more of ethylene and 4mol% or more, especially, 6mol% or more of an α,β-ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid [e.g.; (metha)acrylic acid] and/or a salt thereof (e.g.; NH4 salt) is prepared. Subsequently, this paint composition is coated on the surface of the substrate such as a wood, plastics or a metal and, thereafter, heated and dried at 50W150°C, especially, at 70W120°C by hot air or infrared rays to form a three dimensional pattern having a handcraft like design.
