Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form tucks of a curtain by simultaneously forming a required number of the tucks in an annularly arranged curtain fabric of required dimensions and then fusing the tucks with a tuck picking mechanism at a stroke.
SOLUTION: A sheet of a curtain fabric X' comprising required dimensions are annularly arranged so as to join both selvedges from the upper to the lower sides and a required number of tucks are simultaneously formed with a tuck picking mechanism having gripping tools G1 and G2 at the tips of shafts (ln) of air cylinders Ln arranged according to the required number of tucks in the upper edge side thereof. The upper edge of the curtain fabric X' being in contract with the dimensions by forming the tucks is continuously held by the expansion and contraction of the shafts (ln) and plural ultrasonic fusing apparatuses A arranged corresponding to the tucks are then operated to fuse and fix the plural tucks between an ultrasonic horn B and a receiving jig pedestal C at a stroke.
