Abstract:

To arbitrarily set a specific sliding at the contact point of a forme dampening roller with a plate cylinder by setting a rotary circumferential speed of the roller to an arbitrary value.

In a forme dampening roller driving unit set to remove a hickey by differentiating the rotary circumferential speed of the forme dampening roller 6 from that of the plate cylinder 1, the roller is rotatably driven by a single motor 18 which can be changeably set its rotating speed and is provided separately from a main motor for rotatably driving the plate cylinder.
