Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a molded carpet structure for automobile which can protect a wire harness sufficiently from external force without using any harness protector.
CONSTITUTION: In a carpet structure for car in which a wire harness 2 is arranged along the base of a tunnel part 1a of a floor panel 1 and the surface of the floor panel 1 and the wire harness 2 are covered with a floor carpet, a sheet 5 comprising blended felt soaked with thermoplastic resin is molded integrally with the wire harness part of a carpet roll 3 formed integrally with an insulator 4 such as felt on the rear surface of it so as to protect the wire harness 2 by the sheet 5 with the same rigidity at the room temperature.
