To improve the productivity of a packing material for a heated article by providing a device to form a strip-like bend in the longitudinal direction at an arbitrary position in the width direction of the packaging material, and continuously form open holes to prevent the explosion of a container in a heated condition and weak adhesive layers provided on an inner surface of the packaging martial.
A folding part (2) in which an erected leg part 14 with its horizontal plate 12 fixed to its top part is fixed on a base 2, and a pair of right and left folding and holding plates 13, 13' to fold a packaging material 1 in the width direction toward a side of the erected leg part 14, is provided. When the packaging material 1 is passed through the folding part (2), a strip-like bend as wide as the horizontal plate 12 is formed in the longitudinal direction of the packaging material 1. An open hole forming part (1) to intermittently form open holes in the packaging material between a side end P of the horizontal plate 12 and pointed ends Q, Q' of the folding and holding plates 13, 13' in the longitudinal direction, is arranged at the proximal position of the folding part (2), and an adhesive part (3) to form a weak adhesive layer on the inner surface side of the packaging material is arranged on a downstream side of the folding part (2).
