In a tile groundwork forming line system wherein a first press forming machine 12 for pressure forming preform M and a second press forming machine 72 for further pressure forming the tile groundwork W1 formed by the first press forming machine 12 are continuously connected to each other, a receiving unit 30 for placing the tile groundwork W1 formed by the first press forming machine 12 between both press forming machines 12 and 72. A holding means 90 equipped with a first holding tool 92 for transferring and placing the tile groundwork W1 from the first press forming machine 12 onto the receiving unit 30, and a second holding tool 94 for transferring and placing the tile groundwork W1 from the receiving unit 30 onto the second press forming machine 72 is provided. A position adjusting means for adjusting a position of the tile groundwork W1 placed on the receiving unit 30 corresponding to the positions of the holding tools 92 and 94 of the holding means 90 is provided to the receiving unit 30.
