PURPOSE: To simply and inexpensively manufacture a durable metallic vessel, by drawing a short and cylindrical metallic ingot by using a die consisting of a female die provided with plural linear line grooves to its inner wall and a bar- shaped male die, the tip of which is made slightly larger in diameter.

CONSTITUTION: A female die 2 is pierced in a die 1, and linear line grooves 3 are formed at equal intervals in the inner circumferential surface of the die 2. On the other hand, a head part 5 having the diameter slghtly larger than the other part is formed at the tip of a round bar-shaped male die 4. Next, after inserting a short and cylindrical metallic ingot A of aluminum, zinc, and other nonferrous metal into the female die 2, the die 4 is pressed against the die 2 by an impactive heavy blow. Thus the ingot A in drawn out from a gap between the dies 2 and 4 to obtain a metallic vessel A' having projecting plural linear ribs B on its outer circumferential surface and the smoothly formed inner circumferential surface. The vessel A' is made into a seamless, fine and durable vessel and is also made to prevent the slip of the surface for convenient handling.
