PURPOSE: To improve the forming accuracy by forming a step bending part on a metal plate stock first by providing the punch and die for step bending, then performing a drawing and forming the punching part for positioning on the step bending part as well.

CONSTITUTION: The die 10 for step bending is provided on the blank holder 6 elastically supported by a die cushion 9 and the punch 15 for step bending is fitted vertically movably to the position corresponding to the die 10 on a die holder 12 as well. A metal plate stock 19 is placed on the blank holder 7 and a ram 13 is descended, and the punch 15 and die 10 form a step bending part 20, then a punching part 21 is formed with the cooperation of the punch 17 for punching and die 11. A recessed part 22 is further formed by the die 14 for drawing and punch 4. In this case, the step bending part 20 prevents the dislocation of the punching part 21 and the accuracy in drawing is improved.
