Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a methanol fuel cell having good fuel efficiency.
SOLUTION: The forming method of the fuel cell is constituted by including a process, in which catalyst material is prepared, a process, in which a mixed catalyst material is formed by mixing the catalyst material with an ionomer and a water-repellent material, and a process, in which the mixed catalyst material is attached to a backing material of the electrode. In this case, it is desired to constitutes at first the mixing process so that it includes a mixing process, in which the catalyst material and the water-repellent material is mixed, then a process adding the ionomer. In this case, it is desirable that the water- repellent material is poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene, and the ionomer is liquefied Naphyon (registered trademark).
