To provide a forming method for a flow pattern in a plastic bathtub which can form the flow pattern in an arbitrary shape and moreover can always form a pattern in an individual bathtub uniformly and with excellent reproducibility, and which can prevent the pattern from being discolored by hot water and further can bring about a profound feel of depth like marble.
A blank bathtub 1 is obtained by vacuum forming of a transparent acrylic plate 11. A ground layer 2 with a filler is formed in the rear of the blank bathtub 1. A fiber bundle 14 impregnated with a thermosetting colored resin is placed along a positioning implement 15 fixed on the surface of the ground layer 2, and the ground layer 2 is fixed to the processed blank bathtub 1 so as to form an original pattern 3. The bathtub is obtained by laminating a reinforcing layer 4 on the surfaces of the ground layer 2 and the fiber bundle 14.
