Title:
FORMING METHOD OF METAL COATING FILM BY USING TONER FLUID DISPERSED MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02201481
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve conductivity in a plated area by selectively applying a metal plating film on the surface of a base body coated with a colloid metal element, and then forming a second conductive metal element layer on the base surface and the metal part.

CONSTITUTION: A toner fluid and a dielectric or photoconductive base body are prepared. Namely, particles of colloid metal element which are electrostatically charged are dispersed in a nonconductive org. carrier fluid having <3.5 dielectric const. and >1012Ω.cm volume resistivity. The charged colloid metal element particles in the toner fluid are continuously or imagewisely deposited in an irreversible and electrophoretic process on the surface of a base body, so that a conductive colloid metal element coating film is formed on the surface. Then the area coated with the colloid metal element is selectively coated with a metal plating film so that a second metal element coating film which is conductive is formed on the part described above of the base body. Thus, thickness of the image and conductivity can be improved.
