PURPOSE: To provide a forming method of planar material for favorably forming stable and complicatedly shaped material, wherein good surface properties are obtained, bubble or the like is prevented from developing and a high strength and rigidity are obtained, with high production efficiency by a method wherein sheet-like laminate consisting of a plurality of layers containing at least one layer made of thermosetting resin is employed.

CONSTITUTION: Laminated material for forming, the matrix resin of which is under semi-hardened state, is produced by pre-heating sheet-like laminate 1, which consists of fiber reinforced prepreg 2 using thermosetting resin as the matrix resin and core material 4. After that, the laminated material for forming is softened by being heated up to its glass transition temperature (Tg) and then set in a mold for final object product. Under the condition just mentioned above, the forming laminated material is fully hardened so as to obtain the planar material having a desired shape.
