Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method for ring products without burn-in markings which prevents burn-in markings in the peripheral side of the ring products owing to burns between a sizing die and a workpiece, deterioration in quality, decrease in productivity due to correction of the sizing die and increase of costs when sizing work is adopted, after CRF process, to cause no inferior dimensional characteristics in the production of rings products through CRF process shown in Figure 1.
SOLUTION: A raw material ring 8 is formed into a partially finished ring products through cold rolling processing using a forming roll 1 processing the peripheral side and a mandrel 7 for processing the inner circumferential side. Then in the forming method whereby the partially finished ring products 10 are developed into completed ring products 19 through sizing die 16 and with sizing works, cold rolling processing is performed using the forming roll 1 having a plurality of minute grooves 3 on the formed surface. After the cold rolling processing and before the sizing works, the plurality of minute projections 12 are formed on the peripheral side 11 of the partially finished ring products 10 and then a lubricant is applied between the plurality of the minute projections 12 on the peripheral side 11 of partially finished ring products 10 and the partially finished ring products 10 are subjected to sizing work by passing through the sizing die 16 to obtain the finished ring products 19.
