PURPOSE: To form a uniform and stable fluidity state in high efficiency by providing a direction converting guide plate formed at its collision face directed upward at a position opposed to a fluidity layer forming gas inlet, and so forming a fluidity layer as to turn powder particles in a vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Gas inlets 6 (two positions in this embodiment) are provided at the lower part of a sidewall 3, and gas G is introduced from the inlets 6 horizontally or downward at a high speed. A direction conversion guide plate 9 formed at its collision face 9a directed upward is provided at a position (at the central side of a vessel 2) opposed to the inlet 6, and the introduced gas G collides with the collision face 9a to generate a high speed turning motion as shown by an arrow H in the powder particles B in the vessel 2. The powder particles in which reaction, etc., is finished is removed from an outlet 8. The direction of the gas flow is converted upward by the guide plate 9, and the powder particles B in the vessel are turned according to the flow of the gas G. Accordingly, a regular and stable turning state is obtained.
