Abstract:

To provide a method for efficiently producing a mold capable of transferring precisely a shape in the case an optical having the shape of a free curved face not realized in the conventional grinding works is press-molded repeatedly regardless of any molding condition or any kind of glass seed.

The forming mold for the optic has a transferring face to shape the optic on a part of a base material 11. A layer 12 for cutting work the main component of which is a metal is formed on the base material 11 by a gas deposition method.
